Volkswagen expands its Passat lineup in the British market by offering the new R-Line kit as well as a new fuel-efficient 1.4 liter TSI engine. The new powertrain replaces the 1.8-litre TSI unit and develops the exact same 160 PS. As for the R-Line kit, it’s a factory-made tuning package with visual enhancements and upgraded equipment.
The Passat R-Line comes with revised front and rear bumpers and a unique grille, side skirts, rear spoiler, LED lights, and 18-inch ‘Kansas’ alloy wheels, wrapped in low-profile 235/40 tyres as well as 15mm lowered suspension. The R-Line bodykit (bumpers, side skirts and spoiler) is also available for the Passat Highline and Sport, at £900.
As for the additional equipment, the car gets all the goodies of the Passat S, in addition to Bluetooth, USB and iPod connectivity, DAB digital radio and a leather-trimmed multifunction steering wheel.
