Pagani Zonda Revolucion 1 600x400 at Pagani Zonda Revolucion: 800 Horsepower, 2.2 Million Euros

Mental is probably the right word to describe Horacio Pagani’s latest creation. It is the ultimate version of the ultimate version of the Zonda, and it is the very last one ever – this time for real, apparently. It is a track car that you can’t race officially, and it costs a whopping 2.2 Million Euros, or near as makes no difference $3 Million USD.

The Pagani Zonda Revolucion is way more than just a track car for adrenaline junkies. It is an artwork, which just happens to have an 800 horsepower of the same AMG V12 engine that powers the Zonda R. It is beautiful, exciting, and absolutely wonderful in every way. Pagani himself admits that it’ll work better sitting in a car collection than on the race track.

But should you decide you have the stones to take your $3 million car on a track day, it is going to blow you away with its mind-boggling performance. The Revolucion is lighter than its predecessor, thanks to a carbon-titanium structure, weighing just 1070 kg, which in combination with the 800hp and 730 Nm of torque output of the engine, results in a power to weight ratio of 748 hp per tonne.

The car also comes with a new ABS system, a 6 speed magnesium transversal and sequential gearbox, and a traction control system with 12 different settings! The Zonda Revo benefits from improved aerodynamics too, featuring new deflectors on the bonnet, vertical stabilizer mounted on the engine cover, and an F1-style DRS (Drag-Reduction-System) on the rear wing. The CCMR brake discs by Brembo are also derived from the world of Formula One.

Despite its scary looks and all the racing features, the Pagani Zonda Revolucion is an easy car to drive. Well, at least if the Zonda R is any indication. Pagani test drivers used to joke that it’s like a bicycle. This car is a magnificent creation, but at that price, it is not even a dream car for 99.5 percent of world’s population. You have to win three lotteries back to back to afford one. It is worth it though.

Horacio Pagani, Owner and chief designer of Pagani Automobili:

“Limits are made to be overcome. We knew that Pagani Zonda R was already a fast car, the fastest ever on the Nuerburgring Nordschleife. We knew it would be very difficult to design and build a car that was even more extreme. But thanks to the creativity of our designers, engineers, and the whole Pagani family, we created a beautiful object and the fastest Pagani vehicle ever. A car that I am sure will electrify all our customers and fans all over the world.”
