Davide Testi, the buffed, tattooed, and extremely cool chief test driver for Pagani Automobili, has released a couple of photos of a new Pagani Huayra prototype with hashtags ‘new project’ and ‘my baby’. And that’s all the info currently available on this, well, baby.

That said, the pictures Mr. Testi has published reveal a few crucial facts about the this new Pagani Huayra variant. The first thing you notice is the two big holes in the roof, from which one can stick one’s head out white reversing, as elegantly demonstrated by Davide. And the first thing you think of seeing these holes is, of course, Huayra Targa. That could be what this prototype is, a logical follow-up to the Roadster model, or it could all be a massive diversion.

The mysterious Pagani Huayra prototype shown to us here also features an unusually large bulge on its bonnet, something that makes the whole thing look weird and ungainly. But it’s well hidden under cover and may not even something with production significance. Still, it makes us thing whether this baby is the long-awaited hard-core Hauyra about which there used to be a lot of speculations. Of course, another possibility is that the car, which also features a new engine cover and no wing at this stage, could be a one-off, bespoke, coachbuilt Hauyra for some incredibly important person.

Guess we have to wait to find out. Stay tuned y’all!
