The Volvo specialist Heico Sportiv released the first details and images of their thoroughly upgraded V40 T5 model. The car proudly wears an HPC badge, which in Heico’s book stands for High Performance Concept, or Heico Performance Car, which amounts to the same thing.
The HPC V40 packs a big punch in form of a 2.5 liter turbocharged 5-cylinder engine. This powerplant, in its standard factory form, makes a very healthy 250 hp and 360 Nm of torque. When Heico is through with it though, those numbers go up to 320 horsepower and 510 Nm.
Heico have increased the power by adjusting the turbochargers to their liking, installing a new exhaust system, and beefing up the ECU software. Once unleashed that power can take the V40 from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, and onto a top speed of 265 km/h.
To Complement the added power, Heico has also lowered the suspension by 30mm, installed some powerful brakes with six-piston calipers, and a set of 19-inch wheels with high performance 235/35 tires.
Visually, a subtle aero kit and a Matte Toxic Green wrap makes the V40 look cooler, while inside you get Recaro seats, sport steering and Alcantara trimming.
