BMW announced the launch of a new limited Edition version of the M5 called the Nighthawk. It is limited to just 10 units, and it will only be sold in Japan, which is a shame. Unlike the M3, the M5 rarely gets a special edition. And when it does, they are usually market-specific.
Granted, special edition BMWs usually have ridiculous price tags – and this M5 is no exception – but the Nighthawk is certainly attractive enough to justify its cost. The car has a matte black paint finish and ride on 20-inch wheels, also finished in black.
What’s more, the kidney grilles, door handles, mirror caps, and the tailpipes even are blacked-out and the lights are all smoked. The result is one aggressive-looking four-door sedan worthy of the name Nighthawk.
This special edition M5 also has the recently-announced Competition Package, which gives it an extra 15 horsepower (for a total output of 567 hp), a tweaked suspension and differential, and beefed up electronics.
The BMW M5 Nighthawk costs the equivalent of $180K in Japan.
