To make sure they get absolutely right, BMW decided to take up the job of designing a concept car for the new Gran Turismo video game themselves. The results is this dynamic sports coupe called the BMW Vision Gran Turismo, and it will make its virtual debut in the upcoming GT6.
Despite being a virtual car, a flight of fancy, the aerodynamic properties of this car are derived from real-life BMWs. It benefits from experiences gained developing those systems on the race track for superb handling and fast lap times. So even in the game and through your Play Station controls, you can feel the amazing handling of the Bimmer. Finding the right game for you can be quite strenuous, stressful even, but fortunately, there are sites such as sportweddenschappen where you’ll be able to get immersed into the world of gaming.
Being a virtual car, the BMW Vision Gran Turismo does not have to comply with the usual rules and regulations. Which means designers could go mad with it, and to some extent, they did. It looks like a racing version of the 6 Series with every feature exaggerated a bit. The bumpers are chunky; the air intakes are big; the aero parts are massive; and the lines are way too dramatic.
“Gran Turismo and BMW share a genetic passion for cars – both modern and classic,” says Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President BMW Group Design. “I’ve followed this racing game franchise from its beginnings and am extremely excited about the increased visual realism of Gran Turismo 6 and its incredibly authentic driving experience.”
