Not to be completely outdone by Mercedes and their amazing new S-Class, Audi is bringing a new version of their A8 flagship luxury saloon to the Frankfurt Motor Show – probably in the high-performance S8 guise. It is not an all-new model, mind you, but a facelift. The car will be reveled in full prior to its IAA debut on August 21.
As shown in this official teaser video, the new A8 family get Audi’s highly acclaimed Matrix LED lighting system, consisting of up to 25 diodes. These clever headlights not only provide optimal illumination regardless of the weather condition, they also can also detect if their light is making the oncoming traffic blind and partially shut down the LEDs that are causing the issue.
What’s more, the new lights are also a prominent styling element, giving the Audi’s a distinctive new look at the front. Not everybody likes this, but it seems Audi has decided on its new corporate look.
