IAA 2013: Brabus B63S Based On Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6

You certainly remember the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6, because, well, how can one forget such a thing. That was one crazy vehicle, but compared to what Brabus has now come up with, it looks more like a family hatchback. The Brabus B63S is a kitted-out, 700 horsepower version of the G63 6×6.

The engine powering this beast is AMG’s own 5.5 liter bi-turbo V8. Bu tit has been operated on by Brabus, who has managed to extract 515 kW / 700 hp and 960 Nm of torque out of it. With that kind of power, even a six-wheeled vehicle can go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 7.4 seconds.

Sadly, due to the 37-inch off-road tires, the top speed is limited to just 160 km/h. But then, the same tires that limit your speed, give you the unlimited capability to go anywhere you desire. Brabus hasn’t done anything to the suspension. It was pretty damn good in its standard form.

They have, however, tinkered with the exterior. The Brabus B63S gets a new front spoiler with steel skid plate, a carbon fiber vented hood, dark-tinted LED lights, Brabus radiator grille, carbon fiber fender flares, carbon fiber mirror caps, and clear-coated matt carbon-fiber covers for turn signals. Inside, the tuner’s upholstery shop provides fine leather ambiance from a combination of fiery red and black leather and Alcantara.
