The new three-door version of the SEAT Leon, known as the SC, receives its first proper tuning package from JE Design. The sporty member of the Leon family gets a nice visual treatment, and an even nicer performance upgrade.
JE Design SEAT Leon SC, powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbodiesel engine, comes as standard with a healthy 184 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. One the JE engineers are through with it though, those figures ride to 210 horsepower and 430 Nm. The extra oomph reduces the 0 to 100 km/h time from 7.5 seconds to 6.9, but the top speed remains unchanged at 230 km/h.
In terms of styling, JE Design provides the SC with a full body kit including front spoiler, side skirts, and a rear diffuser, as well as some new steel tailpipes. The new parts are all carbon fiber-look, which is a nice touch.
They have also lowered the suspension by 30mm and slammed the car on some 28-inch wheels. More sophisticated buyers can opt for adjustable coil overs from KW and 19-inch wheels. But then sophisticated customers won’t go for carbon-look parts! JE Design offers a similar treatment for the five-door SEAT Leon FR version as well.
