Special edition Audis are usually based on the TT or RS models. This time though, the German car maker decided to show some love to the A5 Coupe model by launching the Audi A5 DTM Champion Special Edition in honor of their driver Mike Rockenfeller’s 2013 DTM win.
The DTM Champion Special Edition comes as a package for the Audi A5. It includes RS-inspired items like a body-colored rear spoiler, silver mirror caps, 20-inch 5 V-spoke design, special badging, and commemorative graphics on the sides.
It would be nice if the car also got the most distinctive visual feature of the actual DTM racer, which is wide wheel arches. But then they couldn’t sell the whole package for just 1,900 Euro.
Audi A5 DTM Champion Special Edition package is limited to 300 units, and comes in three colors of Misano Red, Daytona Gray and Glacier White. You can have it with a 177 PS 2.0 liter TDI, a 245 PS 3.0 liter TDI, or a 270 PS 3.0 TFSI engine, all featuring Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
