Koenigsegg’s next big thing is, well, another version of the Agera. But this one has only one goal in mind: to become the world’s fastest production car. The Koenigsegg One:1 is said to be capable of reaching a top speed of 450 km/h, which is faster than 431 km/h of Veyron SS.

To that end, Koenigsegg has increased the power of the car’s turbocharged V8 engine to arrive at a power to weight ratio of one to one, hence the name, Koenigsegg One:1. The car weighs about 1,400 kg, so they tuned the engine to make 1,400 horsepower.

With that kind of power, 0 to 100 km/h is done in no time at all. In fact Koenigsegg is not even mentioning it. Nor they mention the 0 to 200 or 300 km/h times. They go straight to 0 to 400 km/h sprint time, which is a mind-bending 20 seconds!

We have no idea how Koenigsegg is making a rear-wheel-drive car accelerate so fast and reach 450 km/h. But they are Swedish, and these guys, once determined to do something, are very hard to stop.

Production of the Koenigsegg One:1 will be limited to 6 units.
