Nissan is currently busy building hype for the unveiling of the new generation Qashqai crossover in Europe next week. Based on what the Japanese are saying, the car is worth all this effort, as it is said to be some kind of revolutionary, boasting innovative new features not seen before in this segment.
The new Nissan Qashqai is said to offer advanced systems in terms of active safety technologies, driver comfort and refinement, basically rewriting the crossover rulebook. That sounds like a huge leap, but then the crossover segment has a lot of room for improvement. They are, to be brutally honest, jacked-up hatchbacks that are quite dull and numb. Maybe the rules need to be rewritten. We’re just not sure it should be Nissan rewriting them.
New Nissan Qashqai has been around the world doing all sort of testing, and it is now being honed to perfection at the Nissan Technical Centre Europe, UK. There will be more stuff like this over the next few days in the run up to the car’s debut, so stay tuned if you are a fan.
