Nissan today announced the prices and specs of the new Qashqai crossover ahead of the car’s January 2014 market launch in the UK. Starting from £17,595, the 2014 Nissan Qashqai represents good value, what with its fresh new design, premium quality, and most advanced features in this segment.

Available in four trim levels of Visia, Acenta, Acenta Premium and Tekna, the new Qashqai comes as standard with automatic air conditioning, Hill Start Assist, a five-inch colour HD infotainment screen, Chassis Control, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) and Speed Limiter/Cruise control.

The £19,145 Acenta adds dual-zone automatic air conditioning, premium leather steering wheel and gear knob, 17-inch alloy wheels and a Luggage Board System. Safety equipment includes front fog lamps, auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. The Premium version of this trim, starting from £20,995, offers NissanConnect infotainment system with DAB radio, rear view camera, push button start, parking sensors and a panoramic glass roof, as well as Front Collision Avoidance, High Beam Assist and Lane Departure Warning.

The range-topping Tekna, £23,145, comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, part-leather seats, a large glass roof, heated seats, front and rear parking sensors and Intelligent key with engine start button, in addition to all the aforementioned goodies.

As for the engines, the entry-level petrol model has a 1.2 DIG-T with 115PS and 190Nm, capable of 50.4mpg and 129 g/km CO2. The most powerful petrol unit is a 1.6 DIG-T with 150PS and 240Nm of torque. Diesel choices include a 1.5 dCi 110PS with 74 mpg and a 1.6 dCi 130PS with 64 mpg.
