In one of his best head to head tests ever, Motor Trend’s Jonny Lieberman went to Austria – the birthplace of many remarkable persons and things such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, and, er, Adolf Hitler, and of course the G-Wagen –  to put the G63 AMG against the only thing in the world that’s sicker than it: the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6!

This is the first time you get to see the 6×6 in action so up close and personal, so enjoy it and try not to think about the fact that it costs well over $600K and you will never be able to own one:

Everything about the Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 is big and special: 400 kW (544 hp), a 6×6 drive, low-range ratio, five differential locks, portal axles, tyre pressure control system and a special chassis that allows the truck to keep going where mother nature would rather it turned around and go home.

Being a giant, thirsty monster, the standard production tank with a capacity of 96 litres in the 6×6 has been complemented by a 63-litre auxiliary tank. The total tank capacity therefore amounts to 159 litres. It also comes with a super powerful air pump that can pump the tires up from flat to full in like 20 seconds!
