MINI released another teaser video of the all-new 2015 model a few days ahead of the car’s official debut at the Lon Angeles Auto Show. They also confirmed some of the car’s technical details, including the lineup of engines that will be available from launch.

The new MINI features many advanced technologies that give it an edge over similarly-sized cars. Not that you can compare the MINI any of the conventional hatchbacks. The car is in a league of its own. At any rate, the 2015 MINI will feature an active hood that raise to protect the pedestrians you might hit, and a heads u display to make sure you won’t distracted by looking at the gauges and hit that pedestrian in the first place.

The new MINI can be had from launch, which will be in early 2014, with a 1.5 liter 135 hp, or a 2.0 liter 190 hp, engines if petrol is your poison. Those who are fond of diesel can choose a 1.5 liter unit with 115 hp and over 160 Nm of torque. More powerful engines will become available later in S and Cooper variants.
