Taking a leaf out of Mercedes-Benz book, Nissan decided to launch the new Qashqai crossover with a limited Premier Edition model. They will make 2,007 units of this special edition as an homage to the year the first-gen Qashqai was born. The British market will only get 290.
Nissan Qashqai Premier Edition is based on the range-topping Tekna model, and gets a number of exclusive features to justify the extra cost, including leather and Alcantara trim, a dark roof liner, custom dark carpets, chrome side door sills, front lip and tailgate lower finisher and special Premier-branded kick plates.
Those are in addition to Tekna’s already rich list of standard features, including 19-inch alloy wheels and sector-first Bi-LED headlamps and roof rails. The cabin is equipped with heated front seats, new NissanConnect entertainment and navigation system, and a panoramic glass roof.
So it’s safe to say the Qashqai Premier is a well-equipped car. And we haven’t got to the safety kit yet. That includes Front Collision Avoidance, Driver Attention Support, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Moving Object Detection and High Beam Assist.
Nissan Qashqai Premier Limited Edition is available until the end of December 2013. It comes with a 1.6 dCi engine featuring Nissan’s advanced ALL-MODE 4×4-i system as standard.
