Here’s something we weren’t expecting to see: a tricked-out Nissan Sentra! This is an eco-minded, 15-grand sedan built for people who want something that’s easier than walking and keeps them dry. The Nismo version goes to show that even the dullest car can become interesting with the right treatment.
Nissan Sentra Nismo features race-inspired exterior with enhanced aerodynamic performance, NISMO-tuned suspension, steering and transmission and a revised cockpit. Even the 1.8 liter direct injection turbocharged engine is tuned to make 240 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque. It’s brilliant.
On the outside the car gets new front and rear fascias featuring front lower spoiler, large intakes, and LED lights, as well as rear spoiler and center rear fog lamp, which echoes the design of the 370Z’s rear diffuser, plus a pair of side skirts and oversized fender flares. Those fenders make room for the 19-inch RAYS aluminum-alloy wheels mounted with 225/35R19 Michelin Super Sport tires.
The body is finished in a Bright Pearl White, garnished with gloss black and carbon fiber components. Interior treatments include Recaro “Sportster” front seats with custom black leather and Alcantara, perforated black Alcantara rear seats, a NISMO-style leather/Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, and dark chrome and carbon fiber trim pieces with red accenting.
Nissan Sentra Nismo is a concept show car and currently there are no plans to put it into production.
