Each year at the Essen Motor Show, the European equivalent of the SEMA tuning show – except Essen is nothing like Las Vegas – AC Schnitzer comes up with a fantasy Police car for the Tune It! Safe! Campaign. This year’s car is based on the BMW 4 Series, and it features AC’s ACS4 tuning package.

AC Schnitzer BMW ACS4 2.8i benefits from a subtle performance upgrade kit that boosts the output from 245 to 295 horsepower. It’s not a performance-minded tuning job, but still, the car goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds and reaches a limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Also included in the package is AC’s adjustable suspension kit that lowers the ride height by 25mm. Combined with the Type VIII lighweight forged wheels and Hankook Ventus S1evo tires, the system improves the handling of the Bimmer no end.

AC Schnitzer goodies are also used to enahcne the interior, but the biggest highlight of the car remain the Polizei exterior wrap. The Tune It! Safe! Campaign promotes responsible tuning. Not sure if it’s entirely successful, but hey, it keeps the Green party happy while Brabus makes another 800 horsepower monster!
