Prestigious German tuner Carlsson released a new package for the 2013 Mercedes GLK facelift, specifically the GLK220 CDI diesel. There is a body kit that can be fitted to all GLK models, but the only performance upgrade package currently available is for the aforementioned engine.
The styling kit includes neatly designed aero parts (for non-AMG models) such as an RS front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser, Carlsson’s signature three-piece stainless steel mesh grille inserts, logo and LED lights, and new tailpipes. They are connected to a stainless steel sport exhaust system.
Mercedes GLK by Carlsson can be had with a wide variety of wheels from the Evo DS series, from 18 to 21-inch, with graphite, titanium, or brushed finish. The new wheels are complemented with a sport suspension kit that lowers the ride height 30mm. This system is available for all engines in the range.
As far as that engine upgrade for the 220 CDI diesel unit, it’s Carlsson’s C-Tronic module that bumps the output from 170 to 205 horsepower and boosts the torque from 400 to 500 Nm. It’s a plug and play ECU remap with no mechanical alterations whatsoever.
Carlsson has not forgotten the interior, offering stuff like aluminium footrest and pedal set, door-lock pins, floor mats and illuminated door sills, as well as leather and Alcantara upholstery and wood or carbon fiber trimming.
