And so it begins again, the first special edition of the new Kia Soul that will open the floodgates for a million more. It’s called the Red zone edition, and it is based on the Soul Plus. Production is limited to 2,000 units and it’ll hit the market in first quarter of 2014.
As for the features that set this special edition model apart, the 2014 Kia Soul Red Zone comes with a white exterior featuring red accents on the front grille, front and rear fascias, and side skirts, hence the name. The body is also adorned with an aggressively styled body kit and custom 18-inch wheels.
Inside, you get black cloth seats featuring red stitching, leather steering wheel, black-leather dash hood with red stitching, black carpeted floor mats with red piping, and sport pedals. Furthermore, the shift knob ring, air vent ring, dash speakers and console tray trim are all painted in red.
The 2014 Kia Soul Red Zone Edition comes exclusively with a 2.0-liter gasoline direct injected (GDI) four-cylinder engine, 164 horsepower, and a six-speed automatic transmission. You don’t get any extra equipment over the standard Soul Plus, which is a bit mean.
