BMW M235i Racing: Action Footage

BMW M235i Racing video 600x349 at BMW M235i Racing: Action Footage

BMW, or rather their motorsport division, is going to launch a dedicated racing version of the recently revealed M235i. So they released a new video showcasing the performance of the little beast on the race track. The car’s in final stages of development, hence the camouflage.

Regardless of the performance figures, the idea of a compact rear-wheel-drive coupe with a meaty engine is hugely appealing. And this BMW M235i Racing certainly looks that way in this footage:

Technical specs of the BMW M235i Racing are yet to be revealed, but the standard M235i is powered by a turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine rated at 335 horsepower. Even if the M235i Racing doesn’t get a power upgrade, just the fact that it’s lighter and tighter than the standard car makes it faster.

BMW M235i Racing is priced at 59,500 Euros, which is not bad for eligible for the VLN endurance racing series and the Nurburgring 24 hours. It’s not bad even as a track toy.
