Ford Ka Vision 600x386 at Ford Ka Vision Previews New Global Product

The debut of the 2015 Ford Mustang created such a buzz that totally drowned Ford’s other new cars unveiled at the same time the Edge and Ka Vision Concepts. Revealed at the “Go Further” event in Barcelona, the new Ka is pitched as an affordable global small value car.

Now, the words small, value, and global usually mean utter rubbish when they are in the same sentence. But with the Ford Ka Vision we’re not sure that argument holds water anymre. The car has a pleasant design, it is fairly spacious for its size, it’s comfortable, and it benefits from advanced technology features such as MyFord docking system, SYNC with Voice Control and AppLink.

So Ford is not skimping on features and equipment at least with Ka Vision Concept, probably because it is also coming to Europe in a couple of years in addition to the global market. They didn’t reveal anything about the car’s powertrain yet, but given its intended role, it will be something small and super frugal, almost certainly with a turbocharger.

The Ka Concept builds on Ford’s small car expertise and success to offer the design and technology customers worldwide will be looking for over the coming years,” said Stephen Odell, Ford executive vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Consumers increasingly expect to seamlessly transfer their mobile devices from home, to car, to workplace, and the Ka Concept shows how technology enabling them to do just that, will be extended to an attainable small car.”
