2015 GMC Canyon Teased at 2015 GMC Canyon to Debut at Detroit Motor Show

At the 2014 Detroit Motor Show (NAIAS), General Motors will treat us to a number of world debuts, one of which is the unveiling of the new GMC Canyon pickup truck. The new truck follows the old GM tradition of having a very cool name, slotting below the Chevy Colorado in terms of size and capabilities.

As such, the 2015 GMC Canyon will probably be offered with the same exact engines as the Colorado, including a 190 horsepower 2.5 liter-four-pot and a 300 horsepower 3.6 liter V6. Later on, it could also get a Duramax Turbodiesel unit with massive pulling power. Still, the Canyon remains a light-duty pickup.

To be honest we are more keen to see what the new GMC Canyon looks like. Of course, all modern pickup trucks looks amazing, but GMC’s vehicles always have a unique character all their own. Sadly, the teaser image is not revealing at all. But we don’t’ have to wait very long, as the car will be revealed during a press conference on January 12.
