Giving wagon buyers in America something to look forward to in 2014, Volvo announced the pricing of its V60 Sportwagon, which goes on sale across the country in January as a 2015 model. This excellent family wagon starts from $35,300, excluding destination and handling charge.
The standard engine for the 2015 Volvo V60 is a 2.0-liter T5 Drive-E four-cylinder with 240 bhp (179 kW) and 258 lb-ft (349 Nm) of torque which will set new standard in terms of fuel economy in this segment. Alternatively, you can opt for a 2.5-liter T5 five-cylinder with 250 bhp and 266 lb-ft, or a 3.0-liter T6 six-cylinder with 325 bhp and 354 lb-ft of torque.
Standard transmission is an eight-speed automatic, with a six-speed automatic transmission available for the more powerful models.
We should point out that the 325 hp engine is available for the V60 T6 R-Design which also comes with styling kit and extra features, and starts at $45,215.
Besides being practical, safe and economical, the new Volvo V60 is also very well-equipped, coming as standard with a professional sound system with Bluetooth, USB and iPod compatibility, power front seats, moonroof and dual-zone climate control system. Options include all-wheel-drive system which costs $1,500, and a Premier Plus Package that’ll set you back $750.
