Just because BMW’s futuristic new “i” models look like they are little alien spaceships, it doesn’t mean they can’t be modified. That is a point Lumma Design is trying to prove with their new projects, the CLR I Design concepts based on the i8 and the i3.

These cars being ultra-high-tech and futuristic, Lumma decided they should take a different approach to tuning them. So instead of silly horsepower numbers, they boast about the advanced carbon fiber material they’ve used to craft the styling kits that adorn these Bimmers.

Lumma CLR I package for the BMW i8 consists of a front spoiler, side skirts and rear bumper with diffuser. Needless to say, they are made from carbon fiber, and complemented with green accents. The wheels too are new and bespoke to this car.

As for the CLR I i3, the kit includes a front spoiler lip, a specially designed hood and side skirts, which are all made of high-strength and ultra-light carbon. This one gets a set of LUMMA CLR 22 wheels.

Lumma CLR I models have not yet entered production.
