As we get closer to the Game Day, more and more car makers release previews and teasers of what they have come up with this year. Super Bowl TV spots are very expensive because they are watched by millions and millions of people. That is why companies try so hard to do well.
That is also why they often try to use stuff they already know people like to promote their products. And Americans like nothing more than celebrities. Jaguar for example has gone for a trio of movie stars, Volkswagen chose Carmen Electra, and now Toyota, well, their celebrities are not alive, but still, they are hugely popular because they are The Muppets. Las year they hired Kaley Cocou, which was fascinating.
Toyota’s Muppet Super Bowl ad promots the new 2014 Highlander SUV and also features Terry Crews:

“Our game-day spot shows how Toyota Highlander puts the ‘fun’ in function,” said Jack Hollis, vice president of Toyota Division Marketing at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. “Toyota vehicles are built to last and can even endure the most boisterous Muppets, a former NFL player as well as a center console full of chickens.”
