Volkswagen released their commercial for this year’s Game Day ad fest. Given VW’s previous Super Bowl commercials, and their history of making awesome TV spots, the expectations are quite high. So does it live up to those expectations? Well let’s hit the jump and see.
Volkswagen 2014 Super Bowl commercial is called “Wings” and it has a simple plot: every time a Volkswagen hits 100,000 miles, a German Engineer gets his wings. If we’re honest though, we doubt this ad is going to win any awards. It’s not very amusing, nor very funny. But hey, even a giant like VW gets it wrong some times. The teaser they released earlier was a lot better. I mean at least it featured Carmen Electra.
