Audi released the official drawings of the new generation TT sports car ahead of the car’s debut at the Geneva Motor Show. These images confirm the speculations about the TT’s looks. It maintains the iconic profile of the previous generations, and adds a modern twist inspired by the R8 and recent Audi concept cars.

Mechanically, the 2015 Audi TT will be based on a version of VW’s MQB platform, meaning the car will share some of its underpinnings with the Golf 7. That is not a bad thing at all. The engine lineup would be similar to what is offered for the current model, albeit with major improvements in terms of efficiency and refinement.

You will be offered small units with superb economy, mid-range units that strike a balance between performance and efficiency, and powerful engines in the S and RS guises designed for speed.

The new Audi TT also boasts a modern interior design showcased a few month ago at the CES show in Las Vegas. It looks quite boring to be honest, but features some clever tricks, like turbine air vents with digital air con controls integrated into them, and a 12.3-inch multi-function display instead of the traditional instrument cluster.
