As we get closer to the Geneva Motor Show, we come across more teasers and more leaked photos, revealing what car makers have in store for this most important of motoring events in Europe. Here we have the first official shots of Audi’s latest creation, the S1 Quattro.

This car comes along following the success of the A1 Quattro, which started out as a concept but due to warm welcome it received from the press and the public alike, was turned into a limited edition production car.

And just like the A1, Audi S1 Quattro seems to be an over the top hot hatchback with a needlessly powerful engine, overly complicated Quattro four-wheel-drive system, and a funky design complete with a vibrant paint job.

There is, of course, nothing wrong with such recipe, except for one slight thing: the cost. As we know from the A1 Quattro, fast little Audis are massively expensive relative to what they offer. And they aren’t really that fun to drive. Still, we best wait for the Geneva to learn more about the Audi S1 Quattro and then judge it.
