German tuner Startech released pictures of their widebody kit for the new Range Rover Sport. The new version of the kit we saw in Essen a few months ago turn the Sport into a real head turner, but some of its features may not appeal to everybody.

Widebody treatments are never very popular, because they tend to make the car showy and ostentatious, and therefore a lot of people hate them. In the case of the Startech Range Rover Sport Widebody, the flared wheel arches actually make the car more muscular and handsome without trying too hard. It’s the new aero bits that may get on your nerves.

The car features Startech’s signature front bumper with large air intakes and LED lights and lip spoiler, which is very nice, and get a pair of side skirts to match the fender extensions. At the back, however, you get a diffuser-style bumper with four new and oddly-arranged tailpipes that are not very good-looking to be honest. And it’s been made worse by a tall roof spoiler which is a real eyesore, we’re afraid.

That said, we’re sure Startech allows you to pick only the bits you really want. Just say no to that silly wing, and you end up with a pretty spectacular Range Rover Sport that stands out in a crowd.
