For whatever reason, the new generation Mercedes SL R231 is not a tuner’s favorite. They just don’t seem interested in working on it, which is why there are only a few tuning packages available for the car. Renntech has now released a treatment for the SL63 AMG model, but it doesn’t really qualify as a tuning kit, since it only includes a new set of wheels.

So the Mercedes SL63 AMG by Renntech is only a means for the German/American tuner to promote the new Deep Monolite wheels they’ve developed in collaboration with ADV1. In fairness though, the car looks pretty damn good with these wheels.

The Deep Monolite wheels are available in 20 and 21-inch sizes, and come in different designs and finishes to match all body styles of the CLS and SL-Class models.

This particular Mercedes SL63 AMG you see here is fitted with Deep Monolite 10.2 in custom two tone finish, and features lowered suspension, which makes the wheel really pop. You also notice the AMG aero kit on this car is finished in the same color as the body, and not the usual exposed carbon. That is a very nice touch and makes the car less showy and ostentatious, which is great.
