Alfa Romeo MiTo is a fabulous city car,a s it is stylish, affordable, and rather good fun. But it’s never been a hot hatchback, until now. The car has received a proper performance upgrade from the most unlikely of sources, Vilner. The Bulgarian firm, as you may know, specializes mainly in interiors.

Nevertheless, they got hold of this MiTo and went to town on it. The range-topping 155 horsepower 1.4 liter turbocharged engine has been given a thorough makeover and now makes 200 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. That is good power in a car the size of a shoe.

After that the work began on the styling, with a new lick of pearl-effect lacquer adorning the red exterior, complemented with blacked-out wheels, mirrors, door handles, and tailpipes. Granted, it looks kinda like a ladybug now, but a cool and quick ladybug.

The interior, which is Vilner’s forte, this Alfa Romeo Mito gets nappa leather and nabuck, as well as carbon and aluminum trim pieces. There is also red stitching all over the cabin, as well as sport pedals, and exclusive floor mats.
