BMW M4 DTM Race Car Unveiled

BMW M4 DTM 0 600x370 at BMW M4 DTM Race Car Unveiled

The new BMW M4 is just getting its feet grounded in the market that it’s ordered to report to the race track for DTM duty. BMW enjoyed a hugely successful comeback to German touring car series two years ago, and the new car is set to keep the momentum going.

The BMW M4 DTM looks absolutely menacing in its low and wide racing outfit featuring, in true DTM fashion, massively wide fenders, humongous spoilers, and large splitters. The designers have also added little details like extra-large intake grilles and blacked-out lights to accentuate the car’s ferociousness and unforgiving character.

BMW M4 DTM is powered by a P66 racing V8 engine developing 480 horsepower according to the rules and regulations of DTM racing. That is still a lot of power, especially in a car that weighs slightly over 1,100 kg.

In preparation for its debut in April, BMW M4 DTM will be visiting a couple of race track in Europe, from Budapest to Hockenheim, for events that include both technical and publicity work. The car will be pitted against equally awesome rivals from Mercedes and Audi in the 2014 DTM season.
