The latest Abarth version of the Fiat 500 has been unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in form of the 695 Abarth Biposto. The car pays homage to the original Fiat Abarth 695 of 964, but where that car had 699cc 30 horsepower engine, the new model features a 190 horsepower 1.4 T-Jet engine.
Fiat 695 Abarth Biposto weighs 997 kg, which means that 190 hp gives it a power to weight ratio of 5.2 kg/hp, and that translates into a 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 130 km/h.
As the most extreme 500 ever built, Fiat 695 Abarth Biposto features many racing bits and pieces, including front intercooler, Akrapovic exhaust system, Extreme Shox adjustable shock absorbers, MXL digital data logger, Abarth Corsa by Sabelt seats with 4-point seat belts, Brembo braking system, lightened 18-inch OZ rims and rear titanium roll bar by Poggipolini.
On top of all this, the Biposto has a wild body kit with specially-designed front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wheel arches and spoiler, finished in a brand-new textured-effect Performance Grey colour garnished with carbon inserts.
Fiat also offers two custom packages for the Biposto, including the ‘124 Speciale Kit’ which adds aluminium bonnet with specific design, hub caps and wheel bolts and water, oil and fuel caps in titanium, and ‘Carbon Kit’, featuring carbon mirror and post covers on the outside, carbon dashboard fascia, front door panel and rear-view mirror.
