Along with the new facelift version of the Juke, Nissan also revealed at the Geneva Motor Show the Nismo RS version of the car. While the Americans get the old RS, the European can buy this refreshed version with updated styling and new features.
Mind you, the Americans are not missing out on anything special, the car still looks pretty darn weird, what with that stupid grin on its face, and the out of place racing aero kit with red accent garnishing its four corners. The facelift for the 20 14 model has not been very substantial either, as it mainly includes some new headlights.
Nissan Juke Nismo RS does have a great little engine though. It’s the firm’s 1.6-litre DIG-T engine now with 218 PS and 280 Nm of torque. The 2WD models come with a limited-slip differential, while 4WD models get Xtronic transmission and Torque vectoring. Meanwhile a sport exhaust system accentuates the pleasure of thrashing the motor.
Apart from the red-accented body kit, Nissan Juke Nismo RS also benefits from red brake calipers hugging larger brake discs. Inside, bucket seats, special instruments and suede cover for the dash are among the highlights.
Equipment-wise, Nissan Juke Nismo RS comes with Xenon headlamps, Nissan’s Around View Monitor and Safety Shield which includes Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Moving Object Detection giving visual and audible warnings to avoid potential collisions.
