It is high time BMW addressed the flaws in the design of the current 1-Series design with a proper facelift. The car has been around for a while now, but no matter how many times we see it, we just can’t stand that gopping little face. The car is in dire need of a change.
And if BMW has no idea how to do it, here’s a very nice rendering by designer Theophilus Chin, who has used the front-end of the 2-Series to give the 1er a new face. Granted, it is hardly a looker, but still, what Chin has come up with is 110 percent better than BMW’s own effort.
The 2015 BMW 1-Series Facelift is rendered in M135i guise here, judging by the M bumper, wheels, mirrors and skirts. If anything, we think it’d look better as a normal 1-Series.
Unfortunately though, for every good-looking car BMW makes, they make 2 or 3 rubbish ones. So there is no guarantee what they come up with as the replacement for the current 1er would look anything better. Still, the current car is so hideous, any change would be welcome.
