Kia Motors released the first shot of the new 2015 Sedona MPV, also known as Carnival, confirming its official debut at the upcoming New York Auto Show. The new midsize multi-purpose vehicle features a daring design – for a minivan, at least – inspired by Kia’s high-end sedans and SUVs.
You can easily spot traces of Optima, and some Cadenza, styling in the face of the 2015 Kia Sedona. But trying to make a statement with styling for minivan is like boasting about the cargo capacity in a super car. It’s pointless.
Kia knows that, and points out that the new Sedona is not just about cool look. It also has a lot of substance. The minivan will transport as many as eight passengers with enough room left at the back for their belongings. Practicality has been the top priority in the car’s development.
Details and specs of 2015 Kia Sedona will be released closer to its debut at NYIAS on Wednesday 16 April.
