A special edition version of the Kia Picanto city car is now available to order in the UK market. Called Picanto Quantum, the car is part of Kia’s ‘Originals’ range which come with unique exterior and interior features. It only comes in 3-door guise and with the 1.25 liter petrol engine.

Kia Picanto Quantum is easily recognizable by the virtue of its special Titanium Silver metallic paintwork with premium black cloth interior upholstery. What really sets it apart from the rest of the range, though, is the high level of standard equipment.

The Quantum comes with 15-inch five-round-spoke alloy wheels, automatic air conditioning, a smart key entry system with engine start/stop button, electric sliding and tilting sunroof, electrically folding, adjustable and heated door mirrors with LED indicator lights, front foglights, a six-speaker audio system, body-coloured side sill mouldings and automatic headlight control with ‘see-you-home’ and ‘welcome’ lighting.

What’s more, the car is fitted with the Urban Pack which adds eversing sensors, LED ambient interior lighting, a premium Supervision instrument cluster and an illuminated driver’s side vanity mirror.

With 84 bhp and 120 Nm of torque, Kia Picanto Quantum accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 11.0 seconds with five-speed manual gearbox, and 12.9 with the four-speed automatic. The former manages 62.8mpg and costs £11,895, while the latter will only do 50.4mpg but costs £12,495.
