The Pagani Huayra has been around a while now, and it is high time Pagani started making new variants of it, just as they did with the Zonda. The first on the list is a Pagani Huayra Roadster, and it has been confirmed recently by the company’s PR man Luca Venturi.
According to Mr. Venturi, the Pagani Huayra Roadster has been in development for some time and it should be ready within the next two years. He didn’t revealed anything about the details of the car, but if the Zonda is any indication, there will be more to the Huayra Roadster than just the lack of a roof.
You can expect substantial styling changes and maybe even some sort of upgrade for the car’s twin-turbo V12 engine. Structurally, the Huayra’s carbon fiber tub is sound enough to handle the conversion into a Roadster without many modifications, but some of the aerodynamic features may need altering.
As is usually the case with open-top hyper cars, Pagani Huayra Roadster probably won’t get a proper folding soft-top, and a retractable hardtop is just out of the question. Chances are you get a stylish leather hood that takes half an hour to install.
