Yesterday Nissan revealed the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano crossover and told us about the new design, new technology features, and the fact that it comes with a 10-year old engine. They didn’t say anything about launching a cabriolet version though, like they did with the previous generation.
That is probably because the old Murano CrossCabriolet turned out to be an utterly hideous, completely frightening, and thoroughly pointless proposition. Nevertheless, the Internet has already come up with what a 2015 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet would look like, and we have to say, it is a lot better than the one that went before.
Granted, the idea of a drop-top SUV still doesn’t make much sense. But at least this CrossCabriolet is not an eyesore. Well, at least not with the top down. The new Murano in fact has a stronger design than its predecessor with a very artistic c-pillar, which is of course chopped off here.
2015 Nissan Murano will be officially unveiled at the New York Auto Show next week, and will go on sale towards the end of the year. Even if they are going to make a new CrossCabriolet, it won’t happen any time soon. But it’s good to know already what it’s going to be like.
