Mercedes-Benz officially unveiled the estate version of the new generation C-Class, revealing a stylish station wagon that is considerably larger than its predecessor. As you’d expect, it is also safer, cleaner, and better-equipped than the car that went before.

2015 Mercedes C-Class Estate is 96 mm longer (4702 millimetres) and 40 mm wider (1810 millimetres), and has an 80 mm longer wheelbase (2840 millimetres) compared to the previous model. This not only result in a more room for the occupants inside the cabin, it also means you have now a maximum load capacity of 1510 litres.

Adding to its practicality, Mercedes offers the Easy Pack power liftgate and Hands-Free Access system for the C-Class Estate, allowing opening and closing the tailgate without touching it, which is handy when your hands are full of grocery bags, or babies.

As for the less wagony features, 2015 Mercedes C-Class Estate comes with a new Touchpad and a Head-up Display system, lightweight-construction, and a range of fuel efficient engines including a hybrid powertrain. All this means the car is not much nicer to live with.

The C 300 BlueTEC Hybrid with four-cylinder diesel engine and compact electric motor (204 + 27 hp) and 74 mpg, and the four-cylinder C 350 Hybrid with plug-in technology (208 + 67 hp) are both nice, but what you want is to wait for the C63 AMG Estate. That would be pretty much perfect in every way.
