Kahn Design Defender RC Model 0 600x336 at Hobbyist Create Kahn Design Defender RC Model

You would be forgiven for mistaking this Defender for a real Kahn Design vehicle at first glance. It is actually an RC model created over a period of six months by Norwegian enthusiast Chris De Graaf who builds RC cars as a hobby.

Chris has done a very fine job with this Kahn Design Defender RC, which is not surprising, given the fact that this is the 20th RC car he has built. The attention to detail on this model car is so high that almost every panel mimics the real vehicle.

The Defender itself would have been an easy vehicle for Chris to work on as it has a fairly boxy shape with not many details to worry about. The Kahn Defender, though, is different ball game. The car has wide body panels, many off-road bits and bobs all over the vehicles, special wheels, special and paint job. It even has coated steel panels on the bonnet, of course Chris has flawlessly recreated here.

As mentioned, Kahn Design Defender RC project took six months to complete and it required parts from all over the world – Norway, Netherlands, England, Italy, USA and Canada. De Graaf’s next project is a 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby.
