SEAT Leon Cupra 280 is the hottest hatchback the Spanish car maker currently makes, and it is officially the fastest front-wheel-drive car to lap the Nurburgring, at least until Renault’s new Megane RS gets there. Now JE Design decided to make sure the Cupra stays on top by dialing up the power.

JE Design SEAT Leon Cupra benefits from complicated electronics that cost 1,900 Euros. This mod is enough to boost the output to 350 hp with a maximum torque of 440 Nm. Equipped with a direct shift, that engine will take the three-door hatchback from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, which is 0.6 seconds faster than the standard car.

To cope with the additional power and the new-found performance, JE Design SEAT Leon Cupra comes with KW coilover suspension DCC Plug & Play system complementing the standard Dynamic Chassis Control. It also gets a CAT exhaust system, and a few aero tweaks including a front spoiler (417 Euro) and side skirts in carbon look (357 Euro).

The wheels on this car are 8.5 x 19 ET 45 Y-spoke design with tires 235/35 R 19 all around. The matte black finish of the rims is telltale sign of the car’s superior performance.
