At the 2014 Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eeleganza Maserati brought out the sensational Alfieri Concept and allowed the public to get up close and personal with it. Not only that, they’ve also fired it up and drove a few laps around the venue.

Maserati Alfieri concept in this footage is powered by a 4.7 liter V8. Maser has already confirmed the launch of a production version of the Alfieri in both coupe and cabrio body shapes. Those models will also be available with a turbocharged V6.

Maserati Alfieri has been chosen as the winner of Concept Cars category at this year’s Villa d’Este Concourse and it is easy to see why. The car is dripping with Italian flair in the way it looks, the way it sounds, and the way it moves. We just hope it loses none of its charms when it becomes a production model over the next two years.
