Mercedes-Benz has turned into one of the world’s biggest icons, Super Mario, to sell the new GLA crossover in Japan. They have teamed up with Nintendo and integrated the car into the game, so Mario gets to actually drive it as he goes about his business.

The high point of the Mercedes GLA Super Mario commercial is actually where he gets out of the car and gets hit by one of those creepy mushrooms. The message is as long as you are in the GLA, you are safe.

They have made a real-life Super Mario for this ad, and he may freak out the children when he steps out of the vehicle. Not that kids play Mario anymore these days. They play Call of Duty. Maybe they should have made a real-life Captain Price, or a Soap MacTavish with a really cool Mohawk.
