If it weren’t for organizations like M Power, Quattro GmbH, and AMG, the mid-size sedan section would be the dullest, most boring segment in the auto world. But they do exist, and they keep coming up with awesome plans to turn family saloons into discreet hotrods. Recently we witnessed the launch of a new BMW M3, so it’s about time for Mercedes-Benz to release their answer to it, the new C63 AMG.

Here’s a very realistic rendering of what the 2015 Mercedes C63 AMG would look like when it’s finally unveiled to the world. It is based on the latest spy photos and videos that captured the car in the midst of final testing sessions at the Nurburgring.

The 2015 Mercedes C63 AMG looks a lot more sober than the car it will replace. It has a lot less chrome on its body and makes use of matte black accents instead which is why it looks understated but cool. The AMG treatment gives the C-Class wider arches, bigger bumper, larger air intakes, and a few extra tailpipes, as well as larger wheels.

The biggest change that sets the 2015 Mercedes C63 AMG completely apart from its predecessor is a new 4.0 liter biturbo V8 engine. It will surely make satisfying power, and the soundtrack will be pretty amazing too. But that old 6.2 V8 had a unique character that no other engine will ever match. That thing had a soul!
