Porsche is still having a lot of issues to sort with the normal 991 GT3, but that hasn’t caused any interruption in the development of the RS version. That car is right on schedule, and in fact they have already made scale models of it.

This is it, and it revealed the looks of the Porsche 991 GT3 RS almost completely. The details featured on this scale model, such as the fender vents, wide rear arches, and the big rear wing, all comply with what we’ve already seen in the latest spyshots. This thing is true RS material.

So that’s the way the Porsche 991 GT3 RS will look like, but what about the powertrain? Well, it is too soon to tell, since we still don’t know much about the standard GT3’s engine. As you know, the 3.8 liter 475bhp flat-six they first introduced in the GT3 turned out to be a fire bomb. They are currently in the process of replacing them with a revised unit that slightly different. They sure do not want the same thing to happen with the RS too.

Porsche 911 (991) GT3 RS will be revealed later in the year with close to 500 horsepower and no manual gearbox option.
