In one of the rarest and most odd incidents that can happen to a car, a brand-new Mercedes SLS fell of the ship transporting it from Germany to Argentina. The car was secured in one of the three containers that fell into the sea.
The man waiting for this Mercedes SLS submarine to arrive in Argentina had reportedly paid the equivalent of $710,000 for it, only to receive a muddy mess that was declared a total loss, absolutely ruined, and not salvageable.
This incident happened earlier in the month and they actually left the car in the sun for five day to let it dry. But the salty water of the sea had done too much damage to the vehicle, especially its electrical system systems, and it just wouldn’t work. The damaged SLS was sent back to Germany to be dismantled.
Even though we are fairly certain that insurance will cover the damages, it still sucks to wait months for your dream car to arrive and then somebody tells you terribly sorry sir, it fell into sea!
