The F12/13 generation of BMW 6 Series is not an easy car to tune. The design of the car does not really lend itself to aero kits and the fenders don’t appear very happy with anything but the stock wheels. Still, MEC Design decided to have a go at it, and chose their new CC5 wheels for the job.
Besides boasting a set of shiny 21-inch CC5 wheels from the meCCon series, BMW 6 Series by MEC Design also features a tweaked suspension system with MEC lowering springs that drop the car by 30 mm. They make those showy wheels feel more at home inside the fender gaps of the 6er. The wheels themselves have a brushed finish with gloss black inner and outer lips to match the black finish of the exterior.
Other goodies fitted to this BMW 6 Series by MEC Design include an aggressive carbon fiber front spoiler and a sporty bootlid wing, as well as MEC exhaust system with M6 end pipes.
So have MEC succeeded in improving the looks of the 6 Series with this package? Well, the car certainly looks sportier now, but we’re not sure if it is also elegant. Some of the 6er’s natural coolness may have been lost.
