Urban Truck is coming to this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with a range of high-end Defenders, topped off with this, the Ultimate Edition 90 hardtop. What these guys do is give the iconic Defender a “contemporary twist” which means upgrading pretty much every aspect of it.
There is a lot more to the Ultimate Edition version of Urban Truck Defender 90 than just a new lick of paint and some leather inside, which is just as well, as it costs 50,000 GBP, which is a lot for a Defender.
On the outside the list of modifications include KBX front grille, light surrounds, bonnet vents, side vents, gloss black mirrors and steps, satin black guards, and privacy glass. The paint job is fully customizable, and there is a full Led lighting package you can order.
Inside, you get heated Recaro sports seats wrapped in leather, center console, nappa door cards, Alcantara headliner, and leather-wrapped sport steering wheel. The entertainment system includes Alpine Double Din satnav and Bluetooth system upgradeable with subwoofers and extra speakers.
As for the mechanicals, Urban Truck Defender 90 gets an engine management upgrade with K&N filters and sport exhaust system, good for an extra 40BHP / 70NM. The car can be had with 18-nch Boost or Apollo wheels and 2” lower sport springs, or BILSTEIN B16 adjustable dampers.
